Wow! I really think technology is grand. This past Sunday, we celebrated the beginning of my birthday WEEK --we use our imaginations to party as long as possible. Thanks to both my sister-in-law for the surprise Christmas gift of a lovely little camera for my laptop, and Skype, our Oregonian gang got to celebrate with us. AND, we got to see our lovely new granddaughter.
I can remember going to Disneyworld when it first opened in the 1970's and visiting Tomorrowland. One of the panoramas was a house of the future where the couple were talking to one of their children on a device that looked like a TV. Sunday, we were that house of the future!
Since this blog is about relationships, I must say that the world is a lot more fun when one can do it vis a vis. What a picture--five of us, all crowded together in front of the laptop at the kitchen bar, looking face to face at the Oregon clan (mostly looking at our newest little one, I must admit)--an east coast/west coast convergence on the monitor. Norman Rockwell would have had fun painting this scene.
Aren't we the tech-no family
